To develop over 500 community websites and update portal content until year 2013 through a programme called the Universal Service Provision Phase 5 (USP5).
This program is launched by the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture Malaysia (previously known as the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications) with only a mission, that is to bridge the digital divide among Malaysians. Some other government agencies and companies dealing with telecommunications also took part in making this programme a successful one . This portal which is bilingual with English and Malay versions, displays matters concerning population, economy, development, entrepreneurship and agriculture of the 500 selected villages.
